Welcome to our travel blog, 366 Saturdays, where we plan to document, reflect on and of course share our experiences over the next year. We recently decided to take a pause in our lives (and a break in our careers) to see what else was out there – to travel, experience new things, and discover and pursue other interests. This is a way for us to step back and enjoy a slower pace of living with less structure to our days and weeks, and full freedom to plan as we go, and chase our curiosities.
So, what’s in a name? Well, a couple things. We chose 366 Saturdays because, with a completely free year ahead of us, every day will be a Saturday. And technically since 2016 is a leap year, we pick up an extra day along the way.
On Friday, May 1, 2015, we kicked off our trip driving south from Copenhagen. Please join us over the next year as we share our thoughts, impressions and experiences.
