The first 2 casualties of the trip

So about a week into the trip, Alex managed to open a gas station door into his face (not really sure how that’s possible, but clearly an achievement in clumsiness). He was fine, but the blow knocked his sunglasses clean off breaking one of the arms. A tough one to repair but after 4 tries, a crazy combo of super glue and epoxy seems to be holding. See first picture for an interim duct tape solution.

The second causality, we are very sad to report, is the car. No, actually it’s fine, but some dipshit (kid probably) tried to make off with the hood decal in San Sebastian. Anyone who has tried (and failed) to peel a sticker off knows that this is not an easy task (we suspect the culprit wasn’t very bright). We are of course sad that the car is visibly marred but very happy that the damage is purely superficial. Any suggestions on how to cover it up?

We’re thinking about adding a new decal of some sort and found a great site in the UK dedicated to classic motoring stickers. If you’re interested, check it out here.
